Inspiration Photos: American Georgian Windsor chair, Inspration photo: source: trendtablet, Elizabethan upholstered side chair, Italian Baroque console table.

Historical styles class just ended and I'm feeling accomplished. One year ago from today I was stuggling to complete assignments and finish reading. Granted I had less time in front of a computer at a desk to help with my studies, I failed to complete the course. This year I finished with a 88% before the final, I'll have to wait and see what my ending grade is a week from now. I'm just excited to have finished 20 tracings of furnishings from Egypt to European 19th century. I've learned a lot this semester, its the most I've grown in a such a short amount of time. It was tough and although there were times when I just wanted to stop and live life, I knew I started this with a purpose and the only way to rise is to stick through it all.

work, school, life

Hi world,

I have many projects I'd like to share...eventually. Once school, work, and life starts settling. As previously mentioned in the last post, I started a new job working at ABC Home, a new semester as a new student at NYSID, and taking on new challenges coming my way. All good and new experiences, I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunities given to me.

I'm keeping a list of items/ pics I need to update and share. Don't worry, it will give me the time to edit and really share what is meaningful on my page. Wouldn't want to waste anyone's time with content I really wouldn't care for.

Hope all is embracing change in their life. Whether good or bad, a customer once told me: change helps navigate.

Hope everybody had a fun and relaxing labor day weekend. I'm in week 2 of my new job at ABC Carpet and Home. Its a beautiful company that speaks a strong message towards a new vision of design and the home. I'm excited to be venturing into this new journey.

Happy beginning of Fall!xx

So fresh n so cleann

What a productive day. :) I headed into the city to visit some of my favorite concept stores from ICFF. I also checked out the new 2nd location of Little King Jewelry on Lafayette where they feature stylish custom made jewelry. I couldn't resist and treated myself to a cute everyday pendent part of the "jacks collection". It took me back to when my grandpa introduced me to jacks and we would play out in the yard..

After a full day in Soho/Nolita, headed over to my favorite store to check out some visuals for inspiration and more GOODS. Some sweet finds today-

Love picking up new soaps.

Couldn't choose which one so...

Modern porcelain,

Eye for detail,

Glass & Minerals,

...and the perfect espresso cup.

Lastly, took a visit by my new little new gem that features some of my current obsessions:

Pendent Lamps,

Geometric Shapes,

My biggest obsession, my partner in crime.

Current update

It's 4:08a and I can't sleep.but finished sketching a chair hanging from the wall...contemplating whether or not i should draw it in full scale or small--to draw the whole unit, or just the chair. I suppose the whole point of me getting back into things is to continue practicing. Practice drawing, painting, photographing, arranging, and to continually training my eyes, hands, and ears. My mind needs to be stimulated-- which is why I'm adding courses at NYSID and Mandarian at NYU. I need discipline and experience:: I need knowledge to inspire and influence. I need/want depth and skill to represent my work. These are all things on my "bucket list" to achieve.

What do you want to achieve?

Summertime in Brooklyn

These photos were taken last month at Fort Tilden- a little gem in Brooklyn. Furay and I took the dogs to the beach for the first time this summer since Fire Island last year. The pups really enjoyed the digging in the sand, running in the water, and chilling under the fort... They truly are Cali at heart.
